The Storm by Lisa Rice (4th. Class)
One day last summer I was fishing. It was a beautiful day and I caught a big fish. I don't know what kind of fish it was but it was tasty. That night I went to bed. I couldn't get to sleep. I was tossing and turning. I kept hearing voices. I got up out of bed. I had the lights off but there was a flash of light every so often. I was thinking that it was a storm. The electricty went. I was a bit freaked out but I finally got back to sleep.
When I woke up I had forgotten all about the storm. On my way to school these two people came up to me. The told me that their names were Sharkboy and Lavagirl. They said that they wanted me to go with them to stop the storm from raging all over the world. I said 'Yes' so we went off in a hovercraft. It was so cool but at the same time scary.
We went to the Planet Zool, it was really cool. We had to go to the storm's main power source which was on top of Mount Never Rest. Kids were never allowed to rest there. We climbed up the back of it and we got to the top with twelve seconds to spare. We shut off the storm and the planet was saved and so was the Universe.
An alarm went off. It was my alarm clock. Turns out it was all a dream....or was it?
The Storm by Katie Cleere (2nd. Class)
One day me and my mammy were out walking when it started to get very windy. Mammy decided we should go home. When we got home we turned on the TV to hear the weather. The Weather Man said that there was a storm on the way. Just then the electricty went. It was very scary but my dad lit candles so I wasn't scared for long.
My mum told us stories about how long ago they didn't have any electricty and had to use candles all the time. I enjoyed these stories. After a while the electricty came back. We turned on the news and heard that the storm was gone. My family and I were really happy that it was over.
The Storm by Patrick Walton (2nd. Class)
Once upon a time there was a school in Co. Mayo called St. Mary's. It was a big school. It was my school. One day a tornado struck the school. There was heavy rain and high winds. We were all frightened. We all got wet and cold running for the bus. As the bus drove away I looked out my window to see my classroom being flattened by the wind. I was happy we were safe. No more school. It was the best storm ever.
The Big Tornado by Patrick Walton (2nd. Class)
When I was walking home from school I looked up at the sky and I saw a tornado coming this way. I told my mammy and she said that we would go to Nenagh which is in North Tipperary. When the tornado was gone we went back to our house. When we went back our house was still standing.
