On Friday 18th of June we went on our school tour to Lismore in Co Waterford. We left at 8:45 in the morning. It took over an hour and a half to get there.
When we got there we made puppets and then we went to St Carthage's Cathedral where we saw the McGrath's tomb, the pulpit and canopy and the spire on the top.
When we came back we went to the Robert Boyle Science Room and we did experiments on hovercrafts, propulsion and volcanoes. Next we went to the History Room to watch a video about the history of Lismore.
After the video we went to the shop and then had our lunch in the park. In the park there was a fountain, a waterfall and a copy of an icehouse.
Finally we went to Towers Park for a nature walk and there we did a play about people who lived in the area. The characters were John, Margaret, Arthur, Elizabeth and the tenants.
We had a very nice time in Lismore.
