Peter Kearney's Family Concert

Activities > 2008/09

It seemed like that Peter Kearney would never arrive but when he did he took St Joseph's by storm. The students were eager to let Peter hear the songs that they had been learning with Mrs Egan and Mrs Noonan. On October 20th they got their chance.....and Peter was impressed. He held workshops all that day and the children really had to work hard to keep up with the pace. There was so much to remember. The ten songs had been learned but now there were actions and percussion to be put with them and all this with no dress rehersal!!!
At 7:30 that evening in front of a packed Community Hall the children perfomed as if they were mid run at the Gaiety and not doing this show for the first time. The watching parents were delighted with the new songs and the fact that everyone was involved. Well done to everyone for their hard work.
We would like to thank Peter for sharing his talents with us and for giving our students the opportunity to perform on stage with him. We wish him all the best as he resettles in his native Australia
