Garda Walsh was in our school today. He brought in his asp and handcuffs. He went to college in Templemore. His Garda Number is TY 99. Garda Walsh knows James Woodlock. He has been in Ballingarry for two months. He has replaced Garda Jim Quinlan.

Garda Walsh is the new Garda working in Ballingarry. He told us about the sort of training he had to do when he was becoming a Garda. He told us that for PE he had to run four or five miles every day. When he got a job he was handed a box with his new uniform in it.
He showed us a pair of handcuffs and handed them around to everybody. He also showed us something called an asp (you use it to hit someone). He never had to use it though.
